But seriously

I wanna get crazy on mugs of beet-apple-ginger juice and go for a long run or dance all night. I don't know if it's the feverish Olympics vibe or the February deep freeze that's to blame. All I know is that lingering over facebook pics of fun parties I've thrown in the past makes me restless and I want to break out, pack up and go. I was just in a fun, warm environment but the vacation clearly did not last long enough.

A tattoo? Snowboarding lessons? Bird flu? Finishing a story? Whatever's coming, I've got energy and I'm ready for it.

I hope not bird flu! Fingers crossed that you'll apply your cabin fever more artistically/productively.

I would happily take the rest of winter for you, but I'm not sure if folks here would like that.

Oooh you're right - it probably IS cabin fever. Good call, Doc!

I want to promise to run the canal on Sunday, but such a run would headbutt my rule (which is closer to a guideline) about running in temps below minus ten, so I won't. I'll just say that I'll consider it.

Consideration opens the door....! Anyway, do you make beet-apple-ginger juice at home, or hit up the Byward market place, or there a third option?

Chances are I'd buy it in the market. And then I would buy some chocolate for the road! Nom nom nom

Totally, and that expresso, and the pralines...I think I had dolma once, which worked well. I'll miss that baklava though! Shoot, I'm dying to eat my way through Ottawa again.
